A Dream Within a Dream

Summary:

  • In the second chapter of Chase the Lion,  we come to the Wright brothers and how they had a dream that was actually inspired by there dads interest in birds. They later came to be the first humans to fly.
  • Inception is another topic in how we are to perceive our dreams. Inception is a dream within a dream within a dream, in our non-fiction life we can look and see that as a sign that our dream necessarily doesn't come from us. God can expose our dreams to us through other individuals.
  • For the Wright brothers, it was a book they read when they were 29. It could be your parents, teachers, or coaches dream. It comes down to how you interact with other people, life is about relationships you never know who may plant a dream in you that is waiting to be revealed.
  • Our greatest legacy isn't our dream. Our greatest legacy is the next generation of dreamers that out dreams inspire--the dreams within a dream. The energy we spend on criticizing others is being stolen away from creativity. Quit complaining about what is wrong and do something that makes a difference in the people you are around.
  • Who could you plant your dream in? Are you actively engaging to make a difference in the lives of others around you?

Biggest Takeaway:  Too often people complain about the culture of their job, family, or life and they need to realize that other individuals could eventually help them find their dream. Just like the takeaway from the last chapter, the goal is to help others with their dream to in turn discover theirs.
