The Templeton Plan: Step 11

The Templeton Plan is written for those who consider themselves students in the school of total success. It is suggested that you devote yourself to one step each day, over a period of three weeks, Each step should be studied carefully until the following questions can be answered in a satisfactory and thorough manner:
  1. What do these ideas really mean?
  2. How do they apply to my own life?
  3. How can I use their meaning in achieving success?

Step 11: Giving The Extra Ounce

  • The difference between the super successful athletes, companies, and people is the extra ounce that is given. To go a step further than is required will increase the likelihood of becoming successful.
  • Develop your talents to your utmost ability, by doing so others will see you as your worth and you will be compensated for it.
  • Do not tell others of how you can overperform in a certain deal. Instead, sell yourself short so that you may work above and beyond. There is no need to oversell yourself in any areas of life if you are humble and work hard you can oversell your potential to others.

Lessons To Consider:

  1. To be outstanding successful you must work just a little harder than those who are moderately successful. Learn to give one extra ounce and your rewards will be all out of proportion to that ounce.
  2. The extra ounce results in producing higher quality in all lines of work.
Am I giving all that I am capable of, or is there an ounce of effort that I have withheld?

Maturity is the balance between courage and consideration.  Abundance Mentality is the paradigm that there is plenty out there for everybody. A character rich in integrity, maturity, and the Abundance Mentality has a genuineness that goes far beyond technique, or lack of it, in human interaction.
