The Templeton Plan: Step 17

The Templeton Plan is written for those who consider themselves students in the school of total success. It is suggested that you devote yourself to one step each day, over a period of three weeks, Each step should be studied carefully until the following questions can be answered in a satisfactory and thorough manner:
  1. What do these ideas really mean?
  2. How do they apply to my own life?
  3. How can I use their meaning in achieving success?

Step 17: Receiving Strength Through Prayer

  • Giving thanks to God provides believers with a strength that can raise them to new heights of performance and insight.
  • No matter what you do in life--enrolling to college, getting married, buying stock, doing a tax return, extracting a tooth--you will do it better if you start with prayer.
  • Clarity can be the biggest thing needed in life for some, it must first start by asking, that begins with prayer.

Exercises to enhance prayer:

  1. Pray Frequently
  2. Pray God will use you as a channel or funnel for others
  3. Pray that you will be aligned with his purpose
  4. Pray that, "Thy will be done."
